From the Chamber of Commerce

Celebrating 60 years owned by the Burns family, the Spring House Tavern was established in the year 1719. Through the decades, the Tavern has been a landmark at the busy interception of Sumneytown Pike, Norristown Road and Bethlehem Pike.

In 1948 Charles Burns and his son George purchased the Tavern. For the past sixty years it has been the destination restaurant for many devoted family dinners and special events. In 1987 the Tavern was been passed on to the third generation owner Jim Burns. Several banquet rooms have been added for private parties. Jim's crab cakes are now famous for which he has won several awards.

We have recently added an outdoor deck with a tropical flair. Additionally we now have new Liter Fair menus and a great draft beer selection. Happy Hour includes complimentary snacks, discounted appetizers and beer as well. The restaurant menu includes a variety of the freshest available seafood, beef and poultry. The desserts include a vast variety of homemade pies. However, it is the "famous" crab cakes that attracts so many satisfied guests to the Spring House Tavern every day.

The Spring House Tavern is warm and friendly, with an upscale ambiance. At the Tavern you will enjoy a wonderful dining experience.

See you soon!
